But what can you wait from this country? Justice? No way. The man on the street has no proper conscience here.
I think back of a sentence of Freud, that people living under hard conditions are not able to develop strong 'super-ego'. For example nature catastrophes or living under constant threat, is not good for developing strong 'super-ego' structures. And everybody knows most of the people here
hate rules and honesty. So they would send their 'super-ego' symbols to prison, rather to repress themselves... That s why they hate culture
and civilization... And of course that is also a reason, why Atatürk bashing was and is so in, in the last couple of years... Atatürk was a leader, under his rules they have felt themselves very uncomfortable as they had to repress themselves more than as they were used to... Just think of the rules of Moses for his people, in the end some of them were hating Moses... Problem of repressing! But there is a return of repressed and a return for repression!
