This is a nice, small map, of a big and complicated city. There is little green, as you can see, though the climate and the geography are unique.
Public Transport was never good in Istanbul, because of the mentality here. Everybody wants to be a king and therefore nobody is a king. But in the last couple of years I have seen a relative development in public transport, though not enough.
No green mentality here. Public Transport pollutes the city in an extreme way, you need gas masks sometimes...
If you are a tourist, then rent a car or take taxi. If you are a group, then taxi costs in average like public transport in Europe.
