I have killed the Imam!

No, no, no I m not talking about Turkey, or about the Iranization of Turkey, I m not talking of a country reigned by an imam and trying to be western style democratic. No, I am not talking about these kind of stuff. Even if I am sad for Fazıl Say. I don t read any newspapers more, I don t know what exactly is happening, but it smells bad. I m interested about a famous turkish recipe called 'Imambayıldı'
This means sth. like: 'Imam has lost himself.' 'Imam is fainted' or sth. like this...
But today I have killed the imam in my kitchen! Yes, I have done it. The orthodox recipe was too difficult to me and I have tried a new way to do this dish and it was really better even the original one!
I have cut the aubergines into little pieces! Yes that s what I am meaning about killing the imam.
Normally they looked like small tombs filled with onion and garlic, maybe one can even say they looked like an imam. But I have cut them into pieces for the convenience of this dish and it was successful! You wouldn t believe it, I couldn t believe it. Well, I have used all the vegetables you would use for this dish, I have just served it different, one can say. And I didn t fry the aubergines, this was the best, but they were even though tasty...
It is not what I have cooked, but it is something like this
Aubergine or Eggplant in English
