Yes, I like this plant also. This is also something mediterrannean and very well known in Turkey. The classic use is as salad with red onion and tomato as side dish for  fish. But I know another use from Austria, which I like also; as spread with eggs and cream...which I of course have eaten only and never made by myself! But now I want to cook all the things by myself, which I have eaten so passively before. And I have realized that this is not an easy job!

Gastronomy here is often so bad, that you are forced to cook by yourself. The country is still extremely conservative and women cooking in the kitchen is the most natural thing here. If you go to a restaurant and if it is one of those which are led by the too fast climbers from Anatolia, you feel the hostility of the serving people. Most of them wouldn t eat outside and so for them is natural to cheat you. I have experienced many cheating cases in Istanbul in all fields. And the gastronomy would be only a small part of it.
There are also many lovely professional restaurants with professional team, but there is seldom continuity.
The feeling that I have described above is a mixture of many experiences, but I have especially the Istanbul Modern Restaurant from years before in mind. I don t forget. At the beginning it was ok., then they have changed, it was really very bad and then they have changed again... The very last time, which was also ages ago, it was o.k. but not so good as at the beginning.
